An open house vendor show!

Vendor shows, craft shows, whatever you prefer to call them, I love them. They are a great way to help get your name out there, get involved with your community and reach out to potential new clients. They are also a great way to network with like minded business. It was a vendor show around Easter this spring that I met France, co-owner of Gems for You, a jewelry company with interchangeable, snap gems, allowing you customize your jewelry. You are able to mix and match pieces to go with every outfit in your closet. Take a peak at some of their products.     I have been working for Gems for You for several months now, photographing their wonderful line of versatile jewelry for their website and social media pages. And I am now excited to be a part of a Christmas open house that Dave and France will be holding later this months. Although the show is being held on both October 31st and November 1st, I will only be there for the 1st, taking mini Christmas family photo

A not so suprirsed Engagement session.

It is undeniable that we have an amazing view of both the Horseshoe and American falls, making Niagara Falls a hotspot for wedding and engagements. And that was Ted's plan when he connected me. His plan was to surprise his girlfriend Sandy by having a photographer secretly taking pictures as he popped the question right in front of the falls! Such a romantic idea and what a great story. However despite our great view, windy weather can put a damper on the best of plans. In this case, literally! With the wind from that day, there was an insane amount of misty. Causing all parties to become soaked during the walk. Ted called me from a near by bathroom while Sandy was in the lady's attempting to dry her hair under a hair dryer. He decided it would be best to reschedule. Later that day Ted did propose and Sandy said yes! The next morning I met them in the Oaks theatre gardens for a more traditional photo session. It was a beautiful crisp morning and Sandy was glowing and on clo

On the horizon

With wedding season coming to an end and colder weather approaching, I have been busy planning some exciting new things for the off season. Despite the fact that the end of fall, winter and early spring are normally to cold to venture outside for an hour or so long shoot, that doesn't mean you have months of waiting to capture those precious moments. And as I am always being asked about upcoming photographic events I thought I would share it in this blog for everyone to see. October: Children's Halloween Mini Sessions November: Children's Christmas Mini Sessions / Christmas Boudoir Special December: Continuation from above specials. January: Valentine's Boudoir Special February: Valentine's Boudoir Special / Children's Valentine's Mini Sessions April: Mother's Day Mommy and Me Special   I will also be participating in many shows. Please come visit me at one or more of these wonderful events. October 3rd come visit me at the Bake/Craft show

Summer 2015 Wedding edition

Okay, okay. I know what you're going to say. "Amanda, where have you been? You haven't been keeping up with your blog!" And you're not wrong. I've defiantly been slacking on my blog, but that only means that I've been busy on photo shoots, and editing and meetings. Which are things I also love doing! The past few weeks, however been a littler slower, allowing me some time to play catch up and thrus get back to my blog. So here is what I have been up to recently. The past few months have been filled with weddings! I've met some wonderful new people and worked with some amazing new vendors here in the gorgeous Niagara region. Sarah's wedding was a two parter, creating a lovely blend of both eastern and western wedding traditions. The first night, her traditional ceremony was filled with beautiful colours and mouth water treats. It was a feast for the eyes as much as it was for the stomach. I love being able to be a part of cultures outside of m
