Normally when Griffin Shields and I get together, we are doing wild and crazy photo shoots that are truly out there. This time around we decided to go a little tamer and do some semi-standard beauty shoots. Our line up involved two of our favorite models to work with Julianna and Starr. We also introduced a new model into out line up. Brittany.
Starr was up first. After a terrible summer we wanted to do something fun and outdoors. What better way to kick of spring/summer then with and outdoor boudoir session. Our location, Fireman's park where there are some little, off the path stairways. Unfortunately for us, the weather leading up to our shoot was very wet making the park extremely muddy. That didn't stop us though.
Brittany was our next model. Our idea for her was a serine and calm shoot, very natural and very earthy with roses. With her soft complexion, bright eyes and long blonde hair, Griffin thought she was perfect for lavender lips. Our location was a different area of the park, more private and less known, so the area was a little messier and unkempt compared to the rest of the park.
Our last shoot was the redheaded Julianna. We wanted a country, bohemian style shoots, very soft and very sweet. Down the street from my house there was a little beaten up barn that was a wonderful set for our shoot. Since our shoot was a little later then the others, we were getting lovely light from the spring sunset, which just added a romantic feel to our session.
We are always in the process of creating. And there are some more wonderful things in the future for Icing Sugar. Aside from the creative concept and beauty shoots, I have been working on some personal projects that can be found on the facebook page. Two I have on the go are "Fae" and "die Tänzerin " or better known as Fairy and The dancer.
