A not so suprirsed Engagement session.

It is undeniable that we have an amazing view of both the Horseshoe and American falls, making Niagara Falls a hotspot for wedding and engagements. And that was Ted's plan when he connected me. His plan was to surprise his girlfriend Sandy by having a photographer secretly taking pictures as he popped the question right in front of the falls! Such a romantic idea and what a great story.

However despite our great view, windy weather can put a damper on the best of plans. In this case, literally! With the wind from that day, there was an insane amount of misty. Causing all parties to become soaked during the walk. Ted called me from a near by bathroom while Sandy was in the lady's attempting to dry her hair under a hair dryer. He decided it would be best to reschedule.

Later that day Ted did propose and Sandy said yes! The next morning I met them in the Oaks theatre gardens for a more traditional photo session. It was a beautiful crisp morning and Sandy was glowing and on cloud nine from her very recent engagement. She even came prepared with her own prop. A Starbucks cup labeled 'Fiancée'. I loved the added touch.

Have a look and see just how adorable these two were.

Choosing Your Location, Fall Addition

It's that time of year again where the weather changes and vibrant hues surround us. So looking for a place to take photos may be different than a place in the summer or winter that you enjoyed. Choosing a location that best suits you and your comfort level is important. It is good to pick somewhere that will make your session memorable and pleasing for you. Find a place that fits well with your personality and gets you to enjoy your experience. Some of my favorite places in the Fall time are Morningstar Mill, Malcolmson Eco Park both in St Catharines. As well as Firemans Park in Niagara Falls, McFarland House in Niagara on the Lake, and Balls Falls in Vineland.  Morningstar Mills is a heritage site located at Decew Falls. This site features a beautiful working mill rebuilt in 1872 and is surrounded with trees and water. It is a good naturalistic place to go, especially in the fall time when there are numerous colors all around you and a beautifully built mill overlooking some wate...

Frequently Asked Questions about Boudoir.

Boudoir.  It's exciting It's inciting And it's confusing and intimating all at the same time!  If you are thinking about a boudoir I'm sure you have some pretty big questions on the top of your head. That's fine. I mean it's not everyday you are standing half naked in front of a perfect stranger.  So you have questions... I've got answers. Q: Boudoir. Pornography. What’s the difference? A: Well for starters Boudoir is suggestive, while porn is... well you know. And you don’t have to be complete nude or revel anything at all when it comes to boudoir photographs. One of the most important things about being sexy is being confident. If you feel that way wearing jeans, by all means, wear jeans! Or a button down men’s dress shirt. Sure why not? Classy, suggestive, and flirty. Q: Can you Photoshop my images? A: If you would like to have say, stretch marks, a scar, that unwanted, embarrassing tattoo from when you were 16...

My favorite photos

When you do something you love, it's not really work. We all have heard that saying. And for me it is really true. For those of you who have meet me in person, you how much I love what I do and deep my passion for photography runs. Most people when they get home from work, kick of their shoes, put their feet up and forget about the day they had at work for those few hours before they head back to the office. They turn on the T.V, read a book, spend some time with the family. Any thing to take their mind off work. NOT ME. Photography started as a hobby and I transitioned it into a business years ago. So for me, during my down, one of my favorite things to do is take off with my camera and work on a personal photography project. I have done lots of these in the past and am always finding something neat to work on. I believe it keeps me on my toes and gives me new and fresh ideas to introduce into the studio for my clients, One of my favorite projects was a few years back. I as ...
