Discount Days are upon us

That past month and change I have been working away at making some strong changes with the studio. I can't say for sure what has come over me in the past while. Maybe it was the mild winter, maybe there is something in the water. But for whatever reason, I have been all about bumps and babies! Some of you may have noticed that my social media outlets have been filled with babies and maternity sessions.

A while back a pregnant friend of mine sent me some photos of what is called Milk bath maternity sessions. I was blown away by how stunning they are! Yes I am photographing mothers to be in the bathtub, but the milky water, and the beautiful florals and foliage create such an incredible visual! They are so natural and serene. Not to mention the bath smells amazing and makes you skin super soft! So I have jumped on the band wagon for this new photographic maternity trend and am now offering these session to my clients. While the studio isn't set up for a full bath and tub, I am able to travel to my clients and can do these sessions in the comfort of their own homes.

Where there are baby bumps, there are bound to be babies! You really can't have one without the other. For that reason I have revamped the studio for newborn sessions. I have brought in new posers to help posing babies and TONS! of new backdrops, furs, buckets, baskets, wraps, bonnets and head bands! I have also brought in lots of new props for milestone and cake smash photos!

I've been having so much fun in the studio with all these mommas and their babies I have decided to offer discount days. Mondays are now Maternity Mondays! Book a standard maternity OR milk bath maternity session on any Monday and get a 15% discount on my basic packages for those sessions. Tuesdays are now Tiny Tot Tuesdays. The first year is a big one! And there are lots of photo opts during this time.  Any newborn, milestone (3, 6 and 9 months) and cakes smash/one year basic sessions booked for Tuesdays are also discounted by 15%.

So for example, my basic maternity session is $200, with the discount it is $170! That is a savings of  $30!

Frequently Asked Questions about Boudoir.

Boudoir.  It's exciting It's inciting And it's confusing and intimating all at the same time!  If you are thinking about a boudoir I'm sure you have some pretty big questions on the top of your head. That's fine. I mean it's not everyday you are standing half naked in front of a perfect stranger.  So you have questions... I've got answers. Q: Boudoir. Pornography. What’s the difference? A: Well for starters Boudoir is suggestive, while porn is... well you know. And you don’t have to be complete nude or revel anything at all when it comes to boudoir photographs. One of the most important things about being sexy is being confident. If you feel that way wearing jeans, by all means, wear jeans! Or a button down men’s dress shirt. Sure why not? Classy, suggestive, and flirty. Q: Can you Photoshop my images? A: If you would like to have say, stretch marks, a scar, that unwanted, embarrassing tattoo from when you were 16...

Bohemian Beach Goddess

A while back, when the weather was just starting to get nice again I did a shoot with the beautiful Malissa Otting. Malissa came to me with this great idea of bohemian beach style photo session. Of course I was on board. No normally I do shoots with MUA Griffin Shields, however the date and time of this shoot Griffin was unavailable so I worked with up and coming mua Sarah Stechyshyn. When I was first starting out Sarah was one of my very first models. And that is one thing I love about my job, the wonderful people you and the long term friendships you create along the way. We meet Malissa at her apartment for hair, make up and wardrobe. The beach we shot at was just a ways down the street from there. The beach itself was pretty cool. It was quiet with a small run off that trailed into the water. The remains of what were once board walks and boating docks protruded from the sand and water, parts of the wood had small plants growing from them. The sand was lined with trees and shrubs....

Choosing Your Location, Fall Addition

It's that time of year again where the weather changes and vibrant hues surround us. So looking for a place to take photos may be different than a place in the summer or winter that you enjoyed. Choosing a location that best suits you and your comfort level is important. It is good to pick somewhere that will make your session memorable and pleasing for you. Find a place that fits well with your personality and gets you to enjoy your experience. Some of my favorite places in the Fall time are Morningstar Mill, Malcolmson Eco Park both in St Catharines. As well as Firemans Park in Niagara Falls, McFarland House in Niagara on the Lake, and Balls Falls in Vineland.  Morningstar Mills is a heritage site located at Decew Falls. This site features a beautiful working mill rebuilt in 1872 and is surrounded with trees and water. It is a good naturalistic place to go, especially in the fall time when there are numerous colors all around you and a beautifully built mill overlooking some wate...
