A new year, with some new beginnings

Happy New Year my lovelies!
I hope you all were able to bring in the New year with your in your own safe and special way.
A New Year marks a start for new decisions, new beginnings and changes (positive ones of course).
And the studio is no different. I have been rattling brain coming up with new and exciting things to introduce to the new year that I hope you all will enjoy!

MINI SESSIONS
The first big change is with the mini sessions. They are so popular with families, especially those with younger children as they are designed to be quick and painless ways to update your photos. I normally hit all the major holidays, Christmas, Easter, Mother's days, Halloween, etc. But with their growing popularity and high demand, I have decided to introduce a new themed mini session each month. I will still be highlighting the major holidays, but I will introducing other themes such as Cloud 9 dreaming, watermelon smashes, high teas on the beach, rainbow sessions and much more. Keep up dated on the facebook page or send me you email to join the mailing list to stay more informed.

NEW PACAKGES
I currently have two packages fro most of my sessions. One is pretty basic that offers the digital copies, then I have an upgrade that allows you to choose either a canvas print or an album. I also now that sometimes it is hard to just have simple prints. They so often get forgotten about in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, whether the digitals come from a professional photographer or your smart phone. With this in mind I have created a mid package that offers 4x6 prints of your session. The cost of these packages will different depending on each type of sessions but generally will be around the $300 mark.

REFERAL PLAN.
Word of mouth is how I get a lot of my clients. And that is something I appreciate so much! So as a special thank you to those who refers me to a client who books a full paid session. they will receive a $50 credit towards their next session for each new client. This can add up quick and earn you a FREE photo session! Now keep in mind there are some rules. The referee MUST use your name at the time of booking. The session they book must be equal to or greater then the $50 (some of the minis are less then $50). And the $50 credit must be used in full.

OUTFITS
I also plan on and have started to bring in and grow my collection maternity outfits, and children's apparel. The Maternity gowns and floral crowns(which are handmade) are stunning and I am excited to bring them on board. To see updates on these outs please follow me on facebook. www.facebook.com/icingsugarphotography

HAIR AND MAKEUP
My hair and makeup artist Manda-Leigh has introduced air brushing services to clients! For those of you coming in for a session and would like to have your hair and make up professionally done, this is now an option for you an add price of $90.

There you have it folks! Lots of new and exciting things are coming our way. I hope you all are as excited about this as I am. I know this year brings lots of new and wonderful things for all of us! Bring it on 2017!

Frequently Asked Questions about Boudoir.

Boudoir.  It's exciting It's inciting And it's confusing and intimating all at the same time!  If you are thinking about a boudoir I'm sure you have some pretty big questions on the top of your head. That's fine. I mean it's not everyday you are standing half naked in front of a perfect stranger.  So you have questions... I've got answers. Q: Boudoir. Pornography. What’s the difference? A: Well for starters Boudoir is suggestive, while porn is... well you know. And you don’t have to be complete nude or revel anything at all when it comes to boudoir photographs. One of the most important things about being sexy is being confident. If you feel that way wearing jeans, by all means, wear jeans! Or a button down men’s dress shirt. Sure why not? Classy, suggestive, and flirty. Q: Can you Photoshop my images? A: If you would like to have say, stretch marks, a scar, that unwanted, embarrassing tattoo from when you were 16

Choosing Your Location, Fall Addition

It's that time of year again where the weather changes and vibrant hues surround us. So looking for a place to take photos may be different than a place in the summer or winter that you enjoyed. Choosing a location that best suits you and your comfort level is important. It is good to pick somewhere that will make your session memorable and pleasing for you. Find a place that fits well with your personality and gets you to enjoy your experience. Some of my favorite places in the Fall time are Morningstar Mill, Malcolmson Eco Park both in St Catharines. As well as Firemans Park in Niagara Falls, McFarland House in Niagara on the Lake, and Balls Falls in Vineland.  Morningstar Mills is a heritage site located at Decew Falls. This site features a beautiful working mill rebuilt in 1872 and is surrounded with trees and water. It is a good naturalistic place to go, especially in the fall time when there are numerous colors all around you and a beautifully built mill overlooking some wate

Paint War Engagement Session

My best friend Ashlee is getting married in October. She and her girlfriend wanted some engagement photos done for their wedding website. Being my best friend I wanted to do something very special and unique for her photos. I have seen some very cute engagement sessions done with chalk fights. I decide to kick it up a notch. Why not switch out chalk for paint! Brighter colors, high energy and loads of fun, just like my friend and her girlfriend. We picked up some paint and water guns from the dollar store and found an awesome location for our shoot. The result was awesome! Pops of bright color, boisterous zeal and above all, highly entertaining! Made me kind of wish I had partaken in the fun myself, beyond the camera.   I love experimenting with different concepts and different ideas when it comes to my photography. I am so thankful to have such great friends who are willing be victims for my wild photographic endeavors. I am also so happy to have to gotten s
