Maternity Gowns

Those of you who have had children related sessions with me most likely knows about Mich and her store full of picture perfect props in Welland. Families often come in with oneies or tu-tus, necklaces and headbands are the most common.
I myself have often purchased props for the studio. Most recently some beautiful bonnets and floral crowns.
But did you know she now offers much more then just props for children. Mich has always offered maternity sashes in her store but now she also has some beautiful gowns for rent as well. And of course some stunning floral crowns, which are not only great for maternity sessions, but also mommy and me! Maternity gowns are amazing for sessions. They are designed to look good for photography purposes and to look flattering on mommas to be.

Mich and I did a model call to highlight some of the beautiful gowns she offers in her store. We had two stunning models! Karen and Erica who both totally rocked their sessions!
You can rent gowns from myself or from Mich. Feel free to ask us about which gowns we have.
And don't forget about Maternity Mondays. Take 15% off the price of my basic package when you book for any Monday of the year!

Here are some images for my shoot with the ladies modeling Mich's gowns.

Choosing Your Location, Fall Addition

It's that time of year again where the weather changes and vibrant hues surround us. So looking for a place to take photos may be different than a place in the summer or winter that you enjoyed. Choosing a location that best suits you and your comfort level is important. It is good to pick somewhere that will make your session memorable and pleasing for you. Find a place that fits well with your personality and gets you to enjoy your experience. Some of my favorite places in the Fall time are Morningstar Mill, Malcolmson Eco Park both in St Catharines. As well as Firemans Park in Niagara Falls, McFarland House in Niagara on the Lake, and Balls Falls in Vineland.  Morningstar Mills is a heritage site located at Decew Falls. This site features a beautiful working mill rebuilt in 1872 and is surrounded with trees and water. It is a good naturalistic place to go, especially in the fall time when there are numerous colors all around you and a beautifully built mill overlooking some wate...

Frequently Asked Questions about Boudoir.

Boudoir.  It's exciting It's inciting And it's confusing and intimating all at the same time!  If you are thinking about a boudoir I'm sure you have some pretty big questions on the top of your head. That's fine. I mean it's not everyday you are standing half naked in front of a perfect stranger.  So you have questions... I've got answers. Q: Boudoir. Pornography. What’s the difference? A: Well for starters Boudoir is suggestive, while porn is... well you know. And you don’t have to be complete nude or revel anything at all when it comes to boudoir photographs. One of the most important things about being sexy is being confident. If you feel that way wearing jeans, by all means, wear jeans! Or a button down men’s dress shirt. Sure why not? Classy, suggestive, and flirty. Q: Can you Photoshop my images? A: If you would like to have say, stretch marks, a scar, that unwanted, embarrassing tattoo from when you were 16...

An open house vendor show!

Vendor shows, craft shows, whatever you prefer to call them, I love them. They are a great way to help get your name out there, get involved with your community and reach out to potential new clients. They are also a great way to network with like minded business. It was a vendor show around Easter this spring that I met France, co-owner of Gems for You, a jewelry company with interchangeable, snap gems, allowing you customize your jewelry. You are able to mix and match pieces to go with every outfit in your closet. Take a peak at some of their products.     I have been working for Gems for You for several months now, photographing their wonderful line of versatile jewelry for their website and social media pages. And I am now excited to be a part of a Christmas open house that Dave and France will be holding later this months. Although the show is being held on both October 31st and November 1st, I will only be there for the 1st, taking mini Christma...
